I’ve grown up in a house with a lot of Jazz and Blues thanks to my father, and while I might not be an expert in those genres, I can definitely appreciate the music thanks to him. One of the concerts that was played on loop was the tribute concert to Blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, and B.B. King was on that show. Today would be an appropriate day to revisit the clip of him playing ‘Telephone Blues’ in that concert, because it’s a huge part of my childhood memories. You don’t have to be familiar with the man’s entire discography to know what you’re witnessing in this clip is something a notch above special.
