Wolf Alice : ‘Lisbon’

‘Lisbon’ is one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite albums this year – Wolf Alice’s debut album My Love is Cool. Much like Silversun Pickups, Wolf Alice is keeping Grunge and Shoegaze alive in the 21st century.

The reason I love this song? That last chorus from 2:30 onwards. It’s this massive end that reminds me a little bit the ending of Broken Social Scene’s ‘Ibi Dreams Of Pavement (A Better Day)’ .  I cannot even begin to imagine how amazing this song must sound live.

If you’re looking to get pulled into the world of Wolf Alice, ‘Lisbon’ is a great jumping off point.
