The Helio Sequence : ‘Harmonica Song’

This might be the furthest away that the Helio Sequence have ever sounded from their signature Indie Rock sound, but I’d still consider this song as one of their best. There’s no great mystery as to why they’ve titled it ‘Harmonica Song’, and I’ve always enjoyed the Blues-soaked influence that carries the track all the way through. And of course, you cannot talk about this song without mentioning the massive sound of the drums, which reminds me a lot of Oasis’ instrumental track ‘Fuckin’ in the Bushes’.  This is meant to be played very loud, with the bass turned up way high. Just enough to aggravate your neighbours.
