This definitely belongs here today. A lot is owed to George Martin (not the dude from Game of Thrones) for the influence he had on shaping many of the Beatles’ finest songs and albums.
‘A Day in the Life’ is easily one of the band’s best tracks (and that’s saying a lot given their discography). George Martin was the producer on this track, and he also played the harmonium on it, and shared orchestrator and conductor duties with Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
I cannot even count the number of times I’ve listened to this track, but it just never gets old.
